It’s soft , it washes wonderfully in the washing machine just be sure to wash it on the delicate cycle and hang or drape to dry out. And it’ll be like new again. It will also stay soft. This is a nice runner-sized rug. I love the pattern and colors. Feels like decent quality and lays flat. THere were some creases in it when it arrived but as expected they are disappearing once it is laid out for a while.

This area rug was purchased to put in out closet and is a really soft, short pile. The rubber backing keeps it in place (so far). It came folded but after laying it out in its spot a few days, the fold-creases disappeared. The edges lay fairly flat (and lay better when I do not have a pad underneath - which I do in the pic). This is a big improvement over the runner I originally had in this spot. This rug not only looks lovely, it feels so soft on your feet and stays securely in place. I'm very impressed that it's washable and has no bothersome fringe at the ends. It's low plush and thin so it won't be a trip hazzard. The pattern and color are very elegant and easy on the eye and it's the perfect size for my hallway.
