Beautiful trash can for my white kitchen. Please pay attention that the height with the open lid is 32.5”, not 36” as they give it on the last picture.
This trash can is just as described and is exactly what I wanted. The size (outer dimensions: 24cm x 36cm x 42cm height) is perfect for my needs, which is to fit under the counter in my kitchen. There is a foot pedal to open the lid to about 70 degrees and when you take your foot off the pedal the lid closes slowly and silently. The lid can also be left open at 90 degrees by pushing it up gently with your hand, which is a very handy feature (e.g., if you are preparing food and you need to continually put food bits in the trash). The lid closes neatly and completely, however, if you put too thick a garbage bag inside, that might cause the lid to poke up a millimeter or two. The inner bin is easy to take out when you need to replace the bag. This trash can feels sturdy, looks attractive, and arrived without any dents or scratches.
You can definitely get cheaper cans, but this one actually looks good out in the open. For a modern Canadian home, it fits right in.
Lift the inner bucket, tie off the bag, and drop in a new one—no wrestling with sharp edges. Makes garbage day a bit less of a chore.
Our cat likes to rub against it and the surface still looks fine. No obvious scuffs, and hair wipes off easily with a damp cloth.
