I am in the process of building book shelf and cabinet built-ins in our remodeled basement. For joinery I will be using a combination pocket hole screws, biscuits and wooden dowels. I have one of these sold under the Bauer label but it is the same drill press. The problem with the table can be corrected by moving the locking lever from the left side to the right side. It does seem like it belongs on the left but the collar is threaded for the right side only. It's a simple fix but the table will work perfectly if you do this.

Bought for gift for son in law. He is just beginning to do little projects around the house. No room for a floor model, plus we could not afford. Husband found this drill press and felt it was good for a first drill press. Son in law is very happy with it. It does everything he needs it to do.

WELL MADE AND EASY TO ASSEMBLE FOR AROUND THE HOUSE/HOME WORKSHOP USE

I had this short bout with Harbor Freight and 2 of their drill presses that wobbled really badly. This one doesn't wobble, so it's already way ahead. It's great for hobbyists for sure. For 40 hours a week type use I'm not so sure, mine probably only has 20 hours of spinning time so far. It's basically the same thing from harbor freight in terms of controls and features. It makes holes and that's about it.
