This Large Rectangle Cantilever Patio Umbrella is awesome; I love it. It's got a beautiful appearance, cooling dark shade, easy to operate, and is an excellent size for my deck. The canopy fabric (love the color!) is fade resistant, 50+ UV protection, heavy duty, recyclable, and 240G yarn dyed polyester. It has a built in vent at the top for good air circulation.It has 360�� rotation, and can be angled. Assembly is between easy to medium hard - I built it by myself, and just took my time to build it well. I'm CERTAIN that assembly is much easier and faster with 2 adults... it's pretty heavy.I chose where I wanted it, and built it in place. My 10'��10'ft deck is raised about 1.5'ft off the ground, and I chose to place the umbrella on the ground even though I knew I'd lose some height. I like the end result. It's dark shade is breezy and cool...even with the hot Texas sun beating down.It comes with an X shaped base, but no weights are included. Weights are necessary (and can fit inside the X) so it doesn't tip over. EXCELLENT Cantilever Umbrella and great value for long, hot summer days outdoors.

The cantilever umbrella must be bolted or you must add heavy weights (recommended 100+) to the plus shaped base. These weights are sold separately. You need to plan ahead for that, because the umbrella will easily tip over when opened up. The base is two, criss-crossed bars that look like an upside down U. Because the bars are hollow in the center and the metal isn't extremely heavy the base doesn't completely support the umbrella at full extension.Even as a small women, I was able to put this umbrella together by myself. The instructions were quite easy to follow and with only a few pieces, to assemble, it came together quite quickly. The instructions are pictures so it doesn't tell you that the rotating base may need to be turned in order for the cover cap to go on and then the other pieces.The umbrella fabric comes secured to the frame. The fabric is thick and well sewn. I was a little surprised by the color. It's more of a copper bronze brown than beige. There is a velcro tie that secures the umbrella to the arm. Unfortunatley, there is not a protective cover included.The metal base and frame are in a deep gray matte finish. My umbrella appears to be flawless in construction and ease of mobility. To open the umbrella, you unlock and lift the trigger handle up to the desired height and the rotating lever opens up the fabric. The movement sort of dips down as it's opening so adjust the height above your furniture before you open the umbrella.

There have been a lot of reviews so I'll make this short. Assembly was super easy. I was able to use my old cross base. The 10'x10' size covers a much larger area than my old 9' round cantilever. Very happy.The strongest wind I've been able to observe is 36 MPH. I always use the umbrella parallel to the ground. It was stable with a little wobbling. I put it down before the wind got stronger.

We like it! Bought the in-ground steel base (separate product from another Garvee seller), which you have to bury. Mated right up with no problems. Other than the base installation, the whole thing was assembled and installed in just a few minutes.
