The pump handle is sturdy, and it only takes a few strokes to get the engine off its mounts. Release valve allows for very slow, precise lowering.

Rock-Solid Hoist for Engine Swaps

Used this Garvee hoist to pull a 5.3 LS out of my truck and it handled the weight like a champ. Pump is smooth, boom adjustments are straightforward, and it never felt sketchy even at full reach.

Great for Boat Engine Work

Used it on my outboard swap at the marina. It lifted the motor cleanly off the transom and moved across the rough concrete dock better than expected.

The center locking casters are a nice touch. Once I had the engine in the air, I locked the wheels and the whole setup stayed put while I worked.
