Nice hoist for what most of the used ones sell for on marketplace in my area.

Works well, smooth operation.Pros: well appointed; seems to handle close to the maximum rated loads well; remains stable; folds for storage.Cons: It would be nice to have a set of sleeves to ensure the ram stays centered in its mountings; Assembly instructions were subpar.Come in two distinct and separate boxes. Threw me off a bit when tracking the hoist.

Hydraulic Jack Feels Overbuilt

The pump handle is sturdy, and it only takes a few strokes to get the engine off its mounts. Release valve allows for very slow, precise lowering.

Built to Take Abuse

We��re not gentle with tools in our shop, and this hoist hasn��t complained. No bent pins or sloppy joints, and the frame still feels tight and square.

Rock-Solid Hoist for Engine Swaps

Used this Garvee hoist to pull a 5.3 LS out of my truck and it handled the weight like a champ. Pump is smooth, boom adjustments are straightforward, and it never felt sketchy even at full reach.

Locks in Place When You Need It

The center locking casters are a nice touch. Once I had the engine in the air, I locked the wheels and the whole setup stayed put while I worked.

Stable Even at Full Extension

I was nervous about running it out to the 0.5T setting, but the hoist stayed planted. The wide base and six casters make it feel very secure.

Nice Long Reach for Modern Trucks

Between the boom adjustments and the leg spread, I could reach over the front bumper of my ??ton truck without hitting the grill or bumper cover.
