The cast iron drain fitting was the worst one I had ever seen. Make sure that the threads and the face of the threads are clean, square and even before applying sealant to threads and assembling it. I had to grind the face of the threads square to sides of fitting before I was able to install it.After “fixing” the fitting I used lots of teflon tape and pipe dope on it and then finished putting on wheels and pressure gauge.I then pressure tested the unit. This way I won’t have any leaks when it has oil in it. The drain hose can be run through the loop on the tank so when depressurized you can open bottom valve and use it as a sight glass to show level of the oil in tank.Just be sure to tighten the large set screw knob on the adjustable height pipe BEFORE pressurizing tank or it will shoot out like a missile and hurt someone or damage stuff…

It works excellently. The only thing is, it requires a lot of thread tape around the threads, they tell you that in the instructions, I believe it is because the Female threads are British standard and the male threads are US standard. But it doesn’t leak and I think it’s absolutely fabulous.
