Clean cuts no splitting

The pre-cut dovetails made assembly straightforward. I added a little wood glue just in case, but the fit was already quite snug. The 10 frames align perfectly inside the brood box without sliding around too much. Highly recommended for backyard beekeepers.

Awesome quality wood construction

Excellent value beehive. The plastic foundations have a nice layer of real wax on them, and my swarm started drawing comb right away. The kit includes everything down to the entrance reducer and inner cover. Very glad I bought this to start my apiary.

Excellent foundation wax layer

Very impressed with this Langstroth kit. The telescoping metal cover is sturdy and handles rain perfectly without leaking. The 10-frame setup gives my new colony plenty of room to expand this spring. Great quality wood with no splitting or deep cracks found during assembly.

Bees accepted it quickly

The wax-dipped coating on this pine hive is superb. I didn't need to paint a single piece, which saved me so much prep work. The dovetails were cut very precisely, so hitting them together with a rubber mallet took less than 20 minutes. The bees have already accepted the frames.
